Privacy policy

Marble (“Marble,” “we,” “us”) is a tool for planning home renovation projects at usemarble.app. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. If you have a question, email hello@usemarble.app.

Information we collect

• Account information. Your email address. If you sign in with Google, we also receive your name and profile picture.
• Content you add. Projects, sections, items, costs, notes, links, and images you put into Marble.
• Technical information. Cookies that keep you signed in, and standard server logs kept by our hosting providers, such as IP address, browser type, and the time of a request.

Information from Google

If you choose to sign in with Google, we ask only for your basic profile: your name, email address, and profile picture. We use it only to create your account, sign you in, and show your name and picture in the app. We do not use it for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not share it except with the service providers listed below that help us run Marble.

Marble’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

How we use information

• To provide Marble, including saving your projects and budgets.
• To send sign-in emails and messages about your account.
• To answer you when you contact us.
• To keep Marble secure and fix problems.

We do not sell your information. We do not use it for advertising. We do not use analytics or tracking cookies.

Service providers

We use a few companies to run Marble. They process information only to provide their service to us.

• Supabase: database, sign-in, and file storage.
• Vercel: hosting.
• Resend: sign-in emails.
• ImprovMX: forwarding email sent to our support address.
• Google: sign-in, if you choose it.

These providers may process information in the United States and other countries.

When we share information

Other than the providers above, we share information only if the law requires it, to protect the rights and safety of our users or others, or as part of a merger or sale of Marble. If that happens, we will tell you before your information becomes subject to a different policy.

Keeping and deleting information

We keep your information while your account is open. When you delete something in Marble, it is hidden right away and may stay in our database until we remove it for good. To delete your account and everything in it, email us from the address on your account. We will delete it within 30 days.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us for a copy of your information, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Depending on where you live, you may have other rights under local law. Email us and we will respond within 30 days.

Security

We encrypt information in transit and limit access so each account can reach only its own data. No service is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee that information will never be accessed without permission.

Children

Marble is not for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you think a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the date above. If a change is significant, we will tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect.
